Choose Your Group

We have four groups, each with six carefully selected jazz standards. Group 1 features the most challenging repertoire, with each subsequent group offering progressively easier material, down to Group 4 which is perfect for jazz beginners.

Once you've chosen your group, aim to learn all six tunes if possible. The minimum requirement is two tunes, but learning more will maximize your weekend experience. Most importantly, you must be able to play both the melody and chords of your chosen tunes.

Need help with any of the tunes? Trefor is happy to offer a complimentary Zoom session to support your preparation. Just get in touch!

Reserve Your Place

Email us at wrexhaminternationaljazzguitar@gmail.com to reserve your space. You must include which group you have chosen. Once we have confirmed that there is space in your group, we will ask you to pay a £60 (non-refundable) deposit to secure your place, or to pay the full £180 if you prefer.

You can pay by bank transfer or cheque. For bank transfer, we'll provide you with our bank details when you email us. If paying by cheque, please complete our enrolment form.

Please note: As there is no funding to underwrite this event, it has to be self- financing. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel the event if the required number of student enrolment is not achieved. In these circumstances, for any money paid in advance, a full refund will be given.

Choose Your Accommodation

Make sure you have sorted out your accommodation. There are of course several affordable hotels in Wrexham and the surrounding area, but a firm favourite of past years has been Holt lodge (now called Hotel Wrexham).

Join Us at Cheadle on Thursday

As is customary, the Thursday evening before each weekend features a special session at the Cheadle Jazz Guitar Club with our guest tutors. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow participants and get a taste of what's to come!
